Food for thought here.....
I have been toying with creating cable trays authored as
tube and pipe components 8) !!!
Mainly I want to be able to do my route as T&P and generate cable trays !
It seems to be working fine up until I realized that
Inventor locks the pipe (tray) in place and no matter how you start your route;
no matter how you align your axes the tray doesn't rotate.
Not bad for a try-out but it still needs a lot of work like
adding another key parameter “Orientation” to control the orientation
angle.....
Decided to share it and see what the world thinks about
this.
How are you doing this? Are you doing something similar?
